VisioRacer has some nice vids about road cars that exists thanks to motorsports. Check it out and tell me in the comment section, wich of them you’d love to take on a road trip, to race (you have all the skills to handle the car of course) and to own (you would of course never be able to sell this sample and no one will ever know it’s yours to keep the estimate out), which car would make a potential partner more attractive to you and last but not least wihich car sounds the best to you?

Here are the vids:

I’d love to race the Porsche 917 with it’s massive flat 12 engine.

My favorite to own is the gorgeous Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale.

A road trip I would love to tackle on in a Mustang 302 Boss (which I find is best sounding as well).

I’d love to see a girl in the Renault 5 Turbo.

Many favorites, mostly European (BMW Batmobile, anyone?), but lately I’m in love with these longroof Torinos, built for NASCAR. There was a standard version with the base Fairlane nose, but these Talledegas had the droop snout and extended nose for better aero.

The first cars that came to mind for me were, in this order:

Ford GT40

Shelby Cobra

McLaren F1

Porsche 959

To own or take on a roadtrip, I’d probably take the 959. I’d take a McLaren F1 to race, and the Cobra would make a woman more attractive to me. Interestingly, the GT40 is the best all-arounder for these categories, even though I didn’t pick it for one specifically.

Well, only the GT40 was specifically made for racing, the other three were primarily designed as road cars, then raced later.

Stratos or 037 are my picks.

Not quite. The 959 was designed for Group B, and then altered later for the FIA’s sake. Same deal as the GT40.

You’re right, as far the Cobra and F1 are concerned, though.

It’d kill me to decide between a 250 GTO, RS200 and CLK GTR.
